Tools Needed:

• New fuel filter
• Wrench or filter removal tool
• Clean cloth
• Diesel fuel (for priming)

Steps:

1. Turn Off the Engine: Ensure the engine is completely off and cool.
2. Locate the Filter: Find the diesel fuel filter (refer to your manual if needed).
3. Remove Old Filter: Use a wrench to loosen the filter, catching any fuel spills in a container.
4. Clean the Mounting Surface: Wipe it clean to remove debris or old gasket material.
5. Prepare New Filter: Apply diesel fuel to the gasket and pre-fill the filter (if needed).
6. Install New Filter: Screw it on by hand until snug, then tighten 3/4 turn with a wrench. Avoid over-tightening.
7. Bleed Air from System: Use a hand pump or bleed valve to remove air until diesel flows steadily.
8. Check for Leaks: Start the engine, run it for a few minutes, and inspect for leaks. Tighten if necessary.
